PLRB Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo, March 17 – 20 in Boston was the perfect place to spend the first day of Spring. Gathering with engaged insurance claims professionals, we always find fertile ground for ideas and conversations that help guide us in creating a bumper-crop of ways to bring together machine intelligence & human ingenuity.
At the event, we enjoyed numerous opportunities to connect with familiar faces, including PLRB’s President and CEO, Bryan Falchuk, who recently collaborated with Roots’s Co-founder & CTO, John Cottongim to lead a discussion on “Navigating the AI Future of Claims Management and Effectively Deploying Generative AI.”
Another highlight was engaging with visitors at our booth who came to learn about InsurGPT™, the only generative AI model specifically built to solve one the insurance industry’s toughest data handling challenges.
In keeping with the conference's theme, “[R]Evolution of Service,” more than 85 insurance claims management leaders scheduled time to see how Roots Automation’s InsurGPT ™ powered Digital Coworker, Roxanne, will revolutionize their claims operations. Throughout the conference, our team (The Purple People) delivered customized demonstrations tailored to specific challenges claims teams faced in their day-to-day operations. These in-depth consultations showcased how our AI-for Insurance is revolutionizing claims workflows from First Notice of Loss (FNOL) through final resolution.
Improved speed, efficiency & quality for claims document processing: Roxanne - our AI-powered Digital Coworker - shows how it’s done.
These demos allowed people to experience up close Roxanne’s ability to manage up to 90% of initial claims correspondence straight-through with no human involvement. One function creating the biggest buzz was how our technology could instantly extract and comprehend data from unstructured sources like handwritten notes, photos, voice recordings – and this capability’s power to liberate skilled insurance professionals from document processing, freeing them to high-value tasks.
Claims experts were equally impressed with how our Digital Coworkers managed cognitive aspects of these processes, leveraging advanced natural language AI to read and comprehend just like a human can, accurately reviewing indexing and validating claims documents with no supervision required.
We highlighted real-world examples like our work with Berkshire Hathaway Guard, where our Digital Coworker now processes 90% of initial claims correspondence straight. Results like these can translate to drastically accelerated cycle times, improved customer satisfaction, and a complete transformation of the employee experience.
We left PLRB Claims Conference energized by so many engaging conversations -- and ready to get back on the road for a busy Spring event calendar. Meeting with so many insurance people at events like PLRB, one thing becomes clearer: Our industry is ready to embrace the transformative power of AI.
We can't wait to follow up with all the new connections we made and help them experience the benefits of AI-driven claims processing firsthand.
